To observe the clinical effects of Xuanfei Jianpi Recipe on airway mucus hypersecretion in stable COPD.Methods:A total of 70 patients with stable COPD were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group(35 cases in each group).The changes of expectoration(VAS)and main symptoms scores before and after treatment were observed，and the Chinese version of COPD Assessment Test(CAT)was used to evaluate the quality of the patients life before and after treatment.Results:The effective rate of the observation group was 87.9%，and the control group was 55.2%.The observation group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.01).The main symptoms and the expectoration of the 2 groups were significantly decreased after the treatment，and the observation group was more obvious，and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The 2 groups could improve the CAT score of the patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(P<0.01)and There was no statistical difference between the 2 groups.Conclusion:Xuanfei Jianpi Recipe can treat patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease，significantly reduce the secretion of sputum，reduce the clinical symptoms and improve the quality of life of patients，and the clinical effects are significant.
