Abstract:To observe the clinical effects of electroacupuncture combined with acupoint injection of adenosine cobalamin in improving CASCA score and elbow joint muscle strength of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. Methods:A total of 70 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy admitted to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Third Affiliated Hospital from January 2018 to March 2019 were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 35 patients in each group according to order of treatment. The observation group was treated with electroacupuncture combined with acupoint injection of adenosine cobalamin, while the control group was treated with electroacupuncture.VAS score, CASCA score and muscle strength changes around the upper elbow joint of the 2 groups were compared before and after treatment, and statistical analysis was performed. Results:The total effective rate was 94.3% in the observation group and 80.0% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:The 2 treatment methods have different degrees of improvement in pain, cervical vertebra function and upper limb muscle strength of patients etc., however, the curative effects of acupoint injection combined with electroacupuncture group is better than that of only electroacupuncture group.
