To evaluate the quality of Faeces Trogopterori medicinal materials from different origins based on the results of HPLC fingerprinting and content determination of amentoflavone.Methods:HPLC was used to establish the fingerprints of Faeces Trogopterori and the content determination methods of amentoflavone.The similarity evaluation system of traditional Chinese medicine chromatography and statistical software were used to analyze the results.Results:Faeces Trogopterori Fingerprints and the content of amentoflavone in different habitats were specific.Among them，those in Shanxi，Shanxi，Anhui，Hebei and Hubei had high similarity，and the content of amentoflavone was more than 0.020%.Conclusion:There is a great difference in the quality of Faeces Trogopterori from different producing areas，which may be related to the food source of the compound toothed squirrel.It is necessary to control the food source of the compound toothed squirrel to ensure the stability of Faeces Trogopterori on the market.
