The escalating trade friction between China and the United States greatly affects the export of Chinese traditional medicine(TCM)products to the United States.Through literature investigation and policy analysis,this paper puts forward some reasonable suggestions to promote the export of traditional Chinese medicine products to the United States.1)Literature research,using “Chinese medicine export” and “American Chinese medicine” as subject terms,this paper searches databases such as MEDLAB and CNKI,and analyzes the trade status of Chinese medicine products with the United States.2)Based on the report on China's TCM trade with the United States published by the ministry of commerce,the ministry of foreign affairs and the state administration of TCM,this paper analyzes the export strategies of Chinese medicine products,summarizes the current characteristics and successful experience of China's export of Chinese medicine products,and proposes new ideas to effectively promote the trade of Chinese medicine products with the United States.China's export of TCM products to the United States has been increasing steadily while there also exist some phenomena such as slow growth rate,small market share and unreasonable structure.Based on the analysis of Chinese medicine's market access in the United States and Chinese medicine's export policy,this paper puts forward a new trade plan of “quality promotion,regulation promotion” to the United States from 3 aspects:improving the quality of Chinese medicine products,designing marketing plan according to demands,and formulating relevant international standards and regulations.
