Abstract:To evaluate the correlation between interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels and anxiety-depression in patients with functional dyspepsia (FD) based on Pearson correlation coefficient (Pearson correlation coefficient) using a meta-analysis.Methods:Controlled trails on the correlation between IL-6 level and anxiety-depression in patients with functional dyspepsia were retrieved by computer in PubMed,The Cochrane,EMbase,CNKI,CBM,VIP and Wanfang databases respectively. The retrieval time was from The beginning of database construction to December 2019.The retrieved literature was duplicate checked, screened, data extracted, and the bias risk of included studies was assessed. The whole process was completed by two researchers independently and cross-checked.Finally,the Meta analysis was completed by RevMan 5.3 software. Results:Six studies were finally included, and the methodological quality was moderately high.Meta-analysis results showed that il-6 level in patients with functional dyspepsia had a strong positive correlation with anxiety, and the difference was statistically significant [summary r=0.72,95%CI (0.65,0.77),P<0.000 01].Level of IL-6 in patients with functional dyspepsia had an extremely strong positive correlation with depression, and the difference was statistically significant [summary r=0.83,95% CI (0.66,0.92),P<0.000 01],subgroup analysis results showed that the HAMD scale groups:Level of IL-6 in patients with functional dyspepsia had an extremely strong positive correlation with depression, and the difference was statistically significant [summary r=0.91,95% CI (0.18,0.99),P<0.000 01],SDS scale groups:Level of IL-6 in patients with functional dyspepsia had strong positive correlation with depression, and the difference was statistically significant [summary r=0.78,95%CI (0.64,0.87),P<0.000 01].The sensitivity analysis showed that the results were stable.Conclusion:IL-6 level in patients with functional dyspepsia is strongly correlated with anxiety and depression. However, the credibility and scientificity of the above conclusions are limited by the quantity and quality of the included studies, and there are some limitations. Therefore, more high-quality,large-sample original studies are still needed for further verification.
