The academic research of organ-on-chip technology is developing vigorously.It also has more and more applications in toxicology.The technology can carry out real-time and continuous index measurement to dynamically evaluate the toxicity of drugs; secondly,the technology can integrate drugs metabolic process with the damage process of the target organ to realize the toxicity evaluation of drug metabolites.Finally,the organ-on-a-chip technology can all use human cells,effectively avoiding false positives/false negatives due to species differences.It is precisely because of the above advantages that microfluidic organ chips for various organs have been used in drug toxicity evaluation studies.This paper will focus on the progress of organ chips for liver toxicity,nephrotoxicity,and cardiotoxicity.
