Gout disease is a chronic，progressive，recurrent metabolic disease closely related to high uric acid and the deposition of urate.The incidence rate is increasing recently，which impairs public health seriously.According to the pathological characteristics of hyperuricemia，urate deposition and acute inflammation in different stages of gout disease，Professor ZHANG Bing established the strategy of “Integrated Therapy”，and used the methods of invigorating spleen，dispelling dampness，removing turbidity to reduce uric acid，resist inflammation and ease pain，achieve truncation of high uric acid，reverse urate deposition，inhibit acute inflammation，and intervene gout in the whole process by treating both symptoms and root causes，which provided new ideas for the clinical treatment of complex chronic diseases.
