By analyzing the characteristics of iron metabolism in chronic kidney disease(CKD)and typical clinical cases of Professor LI Weimin，it is concluded that the main pathogenesis of CKD iron metabolism disorders are spleen and kidney essence deficiency，liver dysfunction，internal accumulation of damp-heat，and blood stasis blocking the collaterals.According to this syndrome differentiation and treatment，traditional Chinese medicine can provide the new effective methods for the treatment of iron metabolism disorders and renal anemia.
