The preparations of medical institutions inherit the characteristics and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)，and play a very important role in the clinical practice and scientific research of medical institutions.A survey was conducted on 54 medical institutions in Yunnan Province，which had a total of 1 127 preparations containing 634 preparations of TCM.As a major province of Chinese medicine resources，Yunnan urgently needs to solve the development problems of pharmaceutical preparations.This paper reviews the status quo，development，development problems and secondary development of large-scale medical preparations in some medical institutions in Yunnan Province，and proposes countermeasures for accelerating the development of hospital institutional preparations.
