Responsibility of Acupuncture in Tumor Therapy:Literature Review of High-quality Research on Acupuncture and Moxibustion Intervention in Tumor in Recent 5 Years
This paper analyzes and integrates literature on acupuncture and moxibustion intervention for tumor treatment published in Science Citation Index(SCI) of the United States in the past 5 years.A total of 82 papers on acupuncture and moxibustion intervention in tumor treatment research were included in SCI.The current research focused on proving the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture therapy, and acupuncture to alleviate adverse reactions caused by tumor chemotherapy and cancer-related symptoms, with acupuncture as the main treatment method.Acupuncture is an acceptable and effective supportive therapy in the field of cancer treatment, and has curative effects in the treatment of chemotherapy-related adverse reactions such as nausea and vomiting, hot flushes, peripheral neuropathy, and symptoms such as cancerous pain, fatigue, and lymphedema in the upper extremities.More high-quality studies should be designed in line with the characteristics of acupuncture and moxibustion with a reasonable control group. The research on acupuncture and moxibustion's anti-tumor effect and effect of increasing the targeting effect of chemotherapy may be a new direction.
