Abstract:In recent years, Western medicine for colorectal cancer has developed rapidly, but it still has short board in treatment, and there is still a vacancy in the follow-up period, rehabilitation period and end-stage. Therefore, traditional Chinese medicine, which takes the improvement of disease-related symptoms as the evaluation standard and the core concept of treating people, plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer. Just as the 2016 Outline of the Strategic Plan for the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine (2016-2030) clearly mentioned “to play the leading role of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of disease, the synergy of major diseases and the core role in rehabilitation”, this paper looked back on the author's team's exploration and practice of the “Equity Chinese and Western” model in the entire prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer by both Chinese and Western medicine in the past 25 years, and provided a reference for the application of this model in the treatment of other major diseases, in order to promote the construction of a medical system with Chinese characteristics that emphasize both Chinese and Western medicine.
