Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture is an acupuncture method invented by academician SHI Xuemin in the treatment of stroke,which is not only innovative and exquisite,but also has remarkable curative effect.Through learning from teachers,learning treatment ideas applying it to clinical practice,it was found that the acupuncture method of Xingnao Kaiqiao not only has obvious effects on stroke and its comorbidity and complications,but also has unique advantages in the treatment of other diseases such as depression,dementia,infantile cerebral palsy,motor neuron disease,hiccup,cervical spondylosis,etc.This paper aims to review and summarize the extended application of “Xingnao Kaiqiao” acupuncture in clinical practice.
