Cancer pain is one of the common symptoms of patients with malignant tumors and has a significant impact on the quality of life and even life security of patients.Correct evaluation and reasonable intervention are especially important for the control of cancer pain.The accurate evaluation of cancer pain is based on specific evaluation tools.The paper summarizes the current evaluation methods and evaluation tools of cancer pain and the elements of selecting suitable Patient Reported Outcomes(PRO) tools，and proposes exploration and TCM differentiation.The development of PRO tools suitable for classification is helpful to scientifically explain the advantages of TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment.
