To explore the possible benefits and risks of traditional Chinese medicine enema in the treatment of radiation enteritis.Methods:Relevant literature on Chinese medicine enema treatment of radiation enteritis in Chinese and English databases were retrieved，Cochrane risk of bias tool was used to evaluate the methodological quality of the study，and Revman 5.3 software was used to perform meta-analysis on papers that met the inclusion criteria.Results:A total of 50 papers were included.As for 40 papers of Chinese medicine enema treatment groups，comparing with Western medicine enema group，10 papers involving Chinese medicine enema combined with Western medicine enema were compared with Western medicine enema group，involving a total of 1396 patients.Meta analysis results showed that：in the efficiency of Chinese medicine enema，the treatment group was better than the control group(Chinese medicine enema control Western medicine enema control type，RR=1.28，95%CI=1.23，1.32; Chinese medicine combined with Western medicine enema control Western medicine enema type.RR=1.28，95%CI=1.2，1.37).In terms of Karnofsky score of traditional Chinese medicine，the treatment group was better than the control group(Chinese medicine enema control Western medicine enema treatment control type，RR=6.63，95%CI=2.81，10.45); Chinese medicine combined with Western medicine enema control Western medicine enema control type，RR=4.92，95%CI=3.69，6.14).Conclusion:Chinese medicine enema and Chinese and Western medicine combined enema may have an advantage over Western medicine enema in relieving and treating radiation enteritis.However，because the quality of the included literature is not high，the reliability of the conclusions obtained is low.
