Poria cocos is a traditional Chinese medicinal material for food and medicine，with the effects of promoting diuresis，eliminating dampness，enhancing spleen and calming heart.Polysaccharides are one of its main active components of poria cocos，which have a variety of pharmacological activities，such as anti-tumor，anti-inflammatory，liver protection，and regulating body immunity.Therefore，poria cocos polysaccharides have been widely used in food，medicine，health products and other fields.This paper summarizes the extraction，separation，purification，degradation，structural characterization，structural modification and pharmacological effects of Poria cocos polysaccharides，and offers references to the further research，development and utilization of Poria cocos polysaccharides.
