To explore the clinical effects of Qili Qiangxin Capsules in elderly patients with coronary heart disease and heart failure.Methods:A total of 94 elderly patients with coronary heart disease and heart failure admitted to the East Branch of Shijiazhuang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from June 2018 to May 2021 were selected as the research objects.According to random number table method，they were divided into a control group(n=47) and an observation group(n=47).The control group was given placebo on the basis of conventional treatment.The observation group was given Qili Qiangxin Capsules on the basis of conventional treatment.The curative effect，TCM symptom score，left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)，left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD)，left ventricular end systolic diameter(LVESD)，heart rate(HR)，stroke volume(SV)，Heart index(CI)，N-terminal brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)，adiponectin(APN)，nitric oxide(NO)，6-minute walk test(6-MWT)，incidence of adverse reactions were compared.Results:The treatment effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment，the TCM syndrome scores，LVEDD，LVESD，HR，NT-proBNP，APN decreased，and LVEF，CO，CI，NO，6-MWT increased.The TCM syndrome score，LVEDD，LVESD，HR，NT-proBNP and APN of the observation group were lower than those of the control group，while LVEF，CO，CI，NO，6-MWT were higher than those of the control group，the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:In the treatment of elderly patients with coronary heart disease and heart failure，Qili Qiangxin Capsules can improve the efficacy，improve heart function and clinical symptoms，and the medication is safe.
