To explore the acupoint-selecting regularity of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of shoulder arthealgia by using formal concept analysis.Methods:Data source was from the text of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Explanatory Notes of 430 Diseases.We established a database of prescriptions of the acupoint.Use formal concept analysis and Lattice Miner software was used for data mining and rule extraction.Results:The core points for acupuncture treatment of shoulder arthralgia were Jianyu,Jianliao,Hegu,Jianjing,Ruhui,Bingfeng.The most frequently used meridians were the Shouyangming Dachang Meridian,Shoushaoyang Sanjiao Meridian,Shoushaoyang Xiaochang Meridian; In the extraction rules,Jianliao-Hegu,Jianyu-Hegu had the highest support,followed by Jianliu-Jianliao,Jianyu,Jianliao-Hegu.Conclusion:Through data mining,it is found that acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of arthralgia is mainly based on the Shou sanyang meridian.The principle of acupuncture selection is based on proximal acupoint selection,combined with distal acupoint selection,and we emphasis on the combination of “proximal acupoint selection-distal acupoint selection-syndrome differentiation”.This study applies formal concept analysis to traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) data,which can effectively discover the potential knowledge implicit in TCM diagnosis and treatment data,and provide theoretical support and scientific basis for the discovery of the law of selection of acupoints in clinical treatment of TCM.
