Recently,Simiao Yongan Decoction,an important traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of acute coronary syndrome,has attracted broad attention both in the academic community.In this paper,the author reviews the clinical studies and action mechanism of the Simiao Yong'an Decoction in the treatment of coronary heart disease,and finds that Simiao Yong'an Decoction and its combination have been supported by certain evidence-based medicine.But at present,the high-quality and widely recognized clinical research still needs to be strengthened.The research on the mechanism of Simiao Yong'an Decoction in the treatment of coronary heart disease mainly involves regulating blood lipid level,protecting blood vessels,antagonizing inflammatory reaction,stabilizing vulnerable plaque and inhibiting myocardial cell proliferation,etc.However,the mechanism of Simiao Yong'an Decoction in the treatment of coronary heart disease has not been fully elucidated,further in-depth investigation by means of omics research is required.
