Abstract:To explore the potential mechanism of Professor HONG Qinguo's Wendan Decoction in the treatment of chronic renal failure based on network pharmacology. Methods:We obtained the chemical components and protein targets of Wendan Decoction through the Traditional Chinese Medicine System Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP); we searched for chronic renal failure-related disease targets on the GeneCards database. The drug targets and disease-related targets were mapped and intersected, and the potential targets of Wendan Decoction for the treatment of chronic renal failure were initially obtained. We used the String platform to draw a protein-protein interaction (PPI) network diagram for the treatment of chronic renal failure with Wendan Decoction, and finally performed gene ontology (GO) enrichment analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment on the Metascape database platform. Results:A total of 54 active compounds can be obtained from modified Wendan Decoction, and 81 targets that may be related to chronic renal failure were screened,of which the main active ingredients were β-sitosterol,quercetin,rhein,and the core targets included TNF,JUN,AKT1,IL6,RELA,TP53,MAPK1,VEGFA,etc.KEGG pathway mainly included AGE-RAGE,JAK-STAT、NF-κB,IL-17,HIF-1 etc.and other pathways Conclusion:Professor HONG Qinguo's empirical formula Wendan Decoction has a therapeutic effect on chronic renal failure through multiple components, targets and pathways. The mechanism is mainly related to anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic pathways etc.
