Effects of Shoulder Three-Needle Acupuncture Combined with Warm Acupuncture on Shoulder Joint Function and Quality of Life in Elderly Patients with Scapulohumeral Periarthritis
To explore the effect of shoulder three needles combined with warm acupuncture on shoulder joint function and quality of life of elderly patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis. Methods:A selection of 60 elderly patients with frozen shoulder who were treated in the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Huaibei Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as the research objects and were divided into a control group(30 cases) and an observation group(30 cases) by using a random number table. The control group was treated with shoulder three-needle acupuncture while the observation group was treated with shoulder three-needle acupuncture combined with warm acupuncture. The curative effect, condition change and recovery time of the two groups of patients before and after treatment observed and compared. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was 96.67% higher than that of the control group of 83.33%(P<0.05).After treatment, the VAS score, ability of daily living score, pain degree and cold tolerance score were significantly reduced(Ps<0.05),and were lower than the control group(Ps<0.05).The recovery time of normal activity, unconscious pain and average healing time in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(Ps<0.05).Conclusion:The three-needle shoulder acupuncture combined with warm acupuncture has obvious curative effect on elderly patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis, which can improve the shoulder joint function and quality of life of the patients.
