To systematically analyze the efficacy and safety of Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis.Methods:By searching PubMed，Cochrane Library，Medline，CNKI，VIP，WANFANG and other databases，randomized controlled trials（RCTs) of Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction for the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis from January 2010 to January 2020 were collected.According to the systematic review method of Cochrane the quality of the included studies was evaluated，and the results were meta-analyzed using RevMan5.3 software.Results:A total of 17 papers including 1 621 patients were obtained.Meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group，Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction group can improve the total effective rate，cure rate，Helicobacter pylori eradication rate of chronic atrophic gastritis，promote gastric mucosal repair and reduce recurrence rate.The difference was statistically significant（P<0.05); but failed to reduce the incidence of adverse reactions（P>0.05).Conclusion:Compared with the conventional Chinese medicine and Western medicine，Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction is more effective in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis.However，the quality of the original literature included in this study is not high，the strength of the argument is limited，and the validity cannot yet reach a positive conclusion.Further validation of high-quality clinical studies with multi-center，large sample size，methodological and normative operations will be required in the future.
