To explore the potential action mechanism of Touyu Powder in the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis by using Chinese herbal compound network pharmacology technology.Methods:Through the database of the Laboratory of Computational Systems Biology(TCMSP),we searched for compounds contained in Astragalus,Angelica,Ligusticum chuanxiong and Saponaria japonicus in Toupu Powder(Due to the current national protection of rare pangolin animals,in response to the call of the country,no collection of pangolin compounds has been carried out).We screened out the active ingredients and target of action of the drugs in Touyu Powder; we searched for the target information of chronic osteomyelitis through the human gene database(GeneCards); used Cytoscape analysis software to perform “drug-compound-target” analysis,imported the functional protein connection network database(STRING) to analyze the protein interaction network,and then used the DAVID database for Gene ID conversion,differential gene function,pathway enrichment analysis,etc.Results:After screening,a total of 431 related components and 227 target information for the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis by Touyu Powder were obtained; related target information for chronic osteomyelitis was 438; there were 46 core proteins of protein interaction network.The key was related to interleukin 10,interleukin 6,and interleukin 6 MMP9,TP53,etc.; we obtained 368 GO biological processes,mainly related to cell proliferation,immunity,inflammation,apoptosis; there were 88 KEGG signaling pathways,related to osteoclast differentiation,malaria,influenza A,rheumatoid arthritis,NF-kB and TNF signaling pathway.Conclusion:Touyu Powder may have a therapeutic effect on chronic osteomyelitis by controlling cell apoptosis and immune inflammatory response.The analysis of this paper provides microscopic theoretical information support for the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis with Touyu Powder.
