Pheretima has the effects of clearing heat，relieving convulsions，promoting blood circulation，removing blood stasis，dredging collaterals，relieving asthma，and checking diarrhea，and can be used to treat traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndromes related to “stasis”.Lumbrokinase is the main active ingredient of Pheretima，with anticoagulation，thrombolysis，anti-fibrosis，anti-tumor，anti-inflammatory，and antioxidant effects.Nano-sized lumbrokinase particles can achieve “precise removal of blood stasis” as a targeted thrombolytic agent.The present study reviewed the application and research progress of lumbrokinase in “visible stasis” and “invisible stasis” from “stasis”，and is expected to provide references for the clinical application of lumbrokinase and the development of new drugs.
