Through the investigation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) policies，the TCM practitioners，and TCM education in Australia and the analysis of the data of TCM service development released from the Federal Medical Administration and educational institutions，this paper summarized the development of TCM in Australia to provide references and suggestions for the internationalization of TCM.Australia，as the first country to legislate on TCM，has exerted a profound impact on the legislation of TCM in Europe and the US，especially in Canada.The development of TCM in Australia has become systematic.The acceptance of TCM has been promoted gradually，the number of TCM practitioners has increased steadily，and TCM education has developed orderly.To broaden the international development of TCM，the official exchange and cooperation should be strengthened to raise the cultural communication of TCM to the height of national cultural strategy，actively develop an international talent certification system of TCM，broaden the channels of talent cultivation，focus on high-quality development，and improve the international industrial capacity of TCM.
