To investigate the medication regularity of Professor SHEN Pi-an in the treatment of Sjgren's syndrome based on data mining.Methods:The data of outpatient prescriptions against Sjgren's syndrome by SHEN Pi-an were summarized and input into the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System(TCMISS) for analysis,including the frequency of Chinese drugs.The combinations of high-frequency drugs,as well as novel prescriptions,were extracted by using data mining algorithms like association analysis and complex system entropy clustering.The indications of the high-frequency and representative Chinese drugs were examined.Results:The high-frequency drugs used by Professor SHEN Pi-an in the treatment of Sjgren's syndrome were categorized into three groups,i.e.,blood-activating and stasis-resolving drugs,yin-tonifying drugs,and heat-clearing drugs.The top 8 drugs included Scutellariae Radix,Rehmanniae Radix,Lonice Raejaponicae Caulis,Fraxini Cortex,Caraganae Sinicae Radix,Moutan Cortex,Curcumae Rhizoma,and Adenophorae Radix.The main combination of high-frequency was Rehmanniae Radix-Lonice Raejaponicae Caulis-Fraxini Cortex-Scutellariae Radix.The 10 core combinations such as “Rehmanniae Radix-Caraganae Sinicae Radix-Moutan Cortex” and six new prescriptions such as that consisting of “Celosiae Semen-Buddlejae Flos-Sinapis Albae Semen” well reflected the Professor SHEN Pi-an's treatment based on syndrome differentiation of Sjgren's syndrome that “kidney deficiency as the root cause and stagnated heat as the manifestation”.Considering drug selection and caring for intestines and stomach in modern pharmacology,aromatic and damp drugs were used with caution.Conclusion:The research on medication regularity of Professor SHEN Pi-an in the treatment of Sjgren's syndrome based on data mining can achieve more comprehensive results than previous statistical studies or traditional case studies,which can provide new references for inheritance and in-depth exploration of Professor SHEN Pi-an's experience.
