To analyze the effect of Supplemented Shegan Mahuang Decoction combined with montelukast sodium on lung function of patients with bronchial asthma.Methods:A total of 100 patients with bronchial asthma who were treated in the Department of Respiratory Medicine，Wuhu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to June 2021 were selected and randomized into the control group(n＝50) and research group(n＝50).The control group was treated with montelukast sodium，and the research group with montelukast sodium and Supplemented Shegan Mahuang Decoction.The clinical efficacy，lung function indexes，levels of interleukin-6(IL-6) and eosinophil(EOS)，symptom alleviation time，TCM syndrome score，quality of life，and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment，the total effective rate of the research group was higher than that of control group(P<0.05)，and the total incidence of adverse reactions was slightly higher than that in control group(P>0.05).The forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1) and the forced expiratory volume in one second/forced vital capacity(FEV1/FVC) in the research group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).The levels of IL-6 and EOS，alleviation time of cough，chest tightness，shortness of breath，wheezing，and dyspnea，TCM syndrome score，and Marks-AQLQ score in the research group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Supplemented Shegan Mahuang Decoction and montelukast sodium can effectively improve the lung function and quality of life of patients with bronchial asthma，reduce inflammation，and alleviate the clinical symptoms，with obvious curative effect.The combination is safe and worthy of further application.
