Abstract:To study the bioactive components and potential mechanism of Shenqi Schisandra Tablets in the treatment of insomnia based on network pharmacology. Methods:The active components and targets of Shenqi Schisandra Tablets were collected from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform(TCMSP).UniProt was used to predict and normalize the protein targets of active components. The herb-active component-target network of Shenqi Schisandra Tablets was established to predict the key components. The targets of insomnia were searched against Drugbank,Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man(OMIM),and DisGeNET.The common targets shared by the drug and disease were identified as the potential targets of Shenqi Schisandra Tablets for the treatment of insomnia.Further, the protein-protein interaction(PPI) network was established for the identification of core targets. Finally,Metascape was employed for the gene ontology(GO) annotation and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) pathway enrichment of the core targets. Results:The screening yielded 63 active components,232 targets corresponding to active components, and 160 disease-associated targets,of which 13 common targets were shared by Shenqi Schisandra Tablets and insomnia. The PPI network identified 55 core targets, for which 779 GO terms and 30 KEGG signaling pathways were enriched. Conclusion:Shenqi Schisandra Tablets may treat insomnia via anti-inflammatory effect, antioxidant activity, neurotransmitter metabolism regulation, and cell cycle regulation.
