To explore the medication regularity of Chinese medicine patent compounds against heart failure(HF) based on data mining in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System(TCMISS).Methods:The Chinese medicine patent compounds against HF were searched from China National Intellectual Property Administration(http://epub.sipo.gov.cn/).TCMISS V2.5 was employed to analyze the frequency,four qi,five flavors,meridian tropism,compatibility,and core drug combinations of Chinese medicine patent compounds,and explore new prescriptions.Results:Ninety-five Chinese medicine patent compounds against HF were included,with 206 drugs involved.The drug with the highest frequency of occurrence was Astragali Radix(54 times).The common drug pairs included Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma-Astragali Radix,Astragali Radix-Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata,and Astragali Radix-Poria.In terms of four qi and five flavors,drugs were dominated by warm and sweet ones.In terms of meridian tropism,drugs mainly acted on the spleen meridian.As revealed by the association rules,drugs with high confidence were Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma,Angelicae Sinensis Radix,and Astragali Radix.The core drug combinations included Codonopsis Radix-Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma-Cinnamomi Ramulus,etc.New prescriptions included Codonopsis Radix-Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma-Cinnamomi Ramulus-Angelicae Sinensis Radix-Paeoniae Radix Rubra-Carthami Flos,Astragali Radix-Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma-Zingiberis Rhizoma-Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma-Ganoderma,Spatholobi Caulis-Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma-Citri Exocarpium Rubrum-Ginkgo Folium,and Hirudo-Psoraleae Fructus-Eupolyphaga Steleophaga-Gynostemmatis Herba.Conclusion:The main functions of Chinese medicine patent compounds and new prescriptions against HF were replenishing qi,activating blood,resolving stasis,and excreting water.The study based on data mining is expected to provide data references for the clinical treatment of HF and the development of new drugs.
