To evaluate the clinical efficacy of 7 classical prescriptions and Chinese patent medicines in the treatment of ventricular premature contractions(VPCs) using network Meta-analysis.Methods:Two personnel independently searched and screened randomized controlled trials(RCTs) in China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)，China Science Periodical Database(CSPD) and Chinese Citation Database(CCP) from the inception of the databases to November 5，2021 according to the search strategy formulated.After screening of the search results，Cochrane risk-of-bias tool was used to evaluate the quality of the included literature，and final data were extracted.A network Meta-analysis was performed using Stata16.0.Results:A total of 64 RCTs were obtained，including 4 classical prescriptions and 3 Chinese patent medicines，involving 10 different interventions and 5 972 patients.In terms of clinical total effective rate，modified Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli Decoction>modified Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli Decoction combined with conventional western medicine>Yangxin Dingji Capsules combined with conventional western medicine>modified Zhigancao Decoction combined with conventional western medicine>Tianwang Buxin Pills>Xinsuning Capsules combined with conventional western medicine>modified Zhigancao Decoction=modified Wendan Decoction combined with conventional western medicine>Tongmai Yangxin Pills combined with conventional western medicine>conventional western medicine.In terms of the effective rate of 24 h premature beats：Tianwang Buxin Pills>modified Zhigancao Decoction combined with conventional western medicine>Tongmai Yangxin Pills combined with conventional western medicine>modified Wendan Decoction combined with conventional western medicine>modified Zhigancao Decoction>conventional western medicine.For adverse reactions，conventional western medicine>modified Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli Decoction combined with conventional western medicine>Xinsuning Capsules combined with conventional western medicine>modified Zhigancao Decoction combined with conventional western medicine>modified Wendan Decoction combined with conventional western medicine>Tongmai Yangxin Pills combined with conventional western medicine>modified Zhigancao Decoction>Yangxin Dingji Capsules combined with conventional western medicine>modified Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli Decoction.Conclusion:Modified Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli Decoction was the optimal therapeutic prescription with the fewest adverse reactions.Tianwang Buxin Pills had the most significant effect on reducing 24 h premature beats.The findings of this study needed to be further verified by a large number of more reliable RCTs.
