To study the effect of acupoint application combined with Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction on cardiac function in patients with unstable angina pectoris.Methods:A total of 116 patients with unstable angina pectoris admitted to Hebei Yiling Hospital from September 2019 to September 2020 were selected，and divided into two groups according to random number table method.The control group(58 cases) was treated with conventional western medicine，and the observation group(58 cases) was treated with acupoint application combined with Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction on the basis of control group.The clinical efficacy of the two groups and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) symptom score，cardiac function，blood lipid index，and angina pectoris attack before and after treatment were compared.Results:After treatment，the total effective rate in the observation group was 96.55% higher than 77.59% in the control group.The TCM syndrome score，number and duration of angina pectoris attacks，dosage of nitroglycerin，left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD)，left ventricular systole end-systolic diameter(LVESD)，total cholesterol(TC)，triacylglycerol(TAG)，and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) level in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(all P<0.05)，while the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) in the observation group and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) level were higher than those in the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint application combined with Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction had desirable curative effect in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris，which relieved clinical symptoms and improved cardiac function of patients，and was worthy of further clinical research.
