Ankylosing spondylitis(AS) is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by inflammation of axial bone joint and tendon attachment point.Since the pathogenesis of AS remains unclear，the clinical treatment can only alleviate the symptoms，with limited efficacy.AS is an immune system disease with a high probability of inheriting and has many complications，which seriously affect the quality of life of the patients.Therefore，in-depth research on the mechanism of AS is particularly important for the development of effective therapies.In recent years，clinicians and researchers have made progress in the mechanism and treatment of AS.This paper summarizes the current research progress in the treatment of AS with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.
