To investigate the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndromes of gastric polyps(GP) and medication rules to provide references for the clinical treatment of GP based on syndrome differentiation.Methods:CNKI，CSPD，CCD，CBM，Embase，and PubMed were searched for clinical studies of GP according to inclusion and exclusion criteria.The syndrome types and TCM prescriptions were collected and analyzed for syndrome rules by SPSS 22.0，followed by descriptive statistics and association rules algorithm through Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System(TCMISS，V2.5).Finally，the medication rules were analyzed.Results:Fifty-three research articles were finally included.The main syndromes of GP were yang deficiency of the spleen and the stomach，disharmony of the liver and the stomach，heat and dampness of the spleen and the stomach，qi stagnation and phlegm obstruction，and qi deficiency of the spleen and the stomach.The disease was located in the stomach，the spleen，and the liver.The common syndrome elements of GP were qi stagnation，dampness，heat，phlegm，and qi deficiency.The prescriptions against GP involved 127 drugs.Association rules were analyzed under the screening criteria of support of 3，5，7，and 60% confidence，and 365，69，and 28 association rules were obtained，with 30，17，and 14 drug combinations，respectively.Conclusion:The TCM syndromes of GP are characterized by asthenia in origin and sthenia in superficiality and deficiency-excess in complexity.Specifically，the asthenia in origin is reflected in(yang) deficiency of spleen qi，and the sthenia in superficiality is in qi stagnation，dampness and heat，and phlegm obstruction.The disease is located in the spleen and the stomach，closely related to the liver.The main pathogenic elements are qi stagnation，dampness，heat，phlegm，and qi deficiency.The treatment principles of GP should be based on replenishing qi to invigorate the spleen，combined with regulating qi，removing dampness，resolving phlegm，activating blood，and clearing heat.The basic prescription is Liujunzi Decoction combined with Danshen Decoction with modifications.
