Ophthalmoxerosis is a common intractable disease in ophthalmology.Western medical treatment methods cannot effectively meet the needs of patients，while acupuncture and moxibustion treatment has unique advantages and characteristics in improving clinical symptoms，visual function，and ocular surface function，reducing recurrence rate，and significantly improving the quality of life of patients.However，there is still a lack of multi-center clinical trials with a large sample size，and clinical research lacks a complete evaluation system for efficacy.Evaluating the therapeutic effect of acupuncture and moxibustion on ophthalmoxerosis by scientific methods is a key link to improve the therapeutic effect on ophthalmoxerosis，scientific research level，and contribution of acupuncture and moxibustion.This study summarized and analyzed the clinical efficacy advantages and evaluation indexes of ophthalmoxerosis，trying to provide new ideas for the clinical research on acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of ophthalmoxerosis.
