The available drugs for diabetic gastroparesis(DGP) with high incidence have certain limitations such as side effects in some patients，which affects the treatment of diabetes.Traditional Chinese medicine can effectively relieve the symptoms of patients，reduce the side effects of existing drugs，and assist in the regulation of blood sugar.Modern physicians often combine syndrome-specific prescriptions，classical prescriptions，and Chinese patent medicines based on syndrome and disease differentiation.They use single herbs，herb pairs，and herb extracts for individualized treatment.By reviewing the various formulation ideas of Chinese herbal medicines，this article summarizes the advantages and the current situation of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of DGP，with a view to promoting the application of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of DGP.
