To analyze the application laws of moxibustion in the treatment of gynecological diseases in Important Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold for Emergency(Bei Ji Qian Jin Yao Fang) by SUN Simiao.Methods:Relevant clauses on moxibustion for gynecological diseases in Important Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold for Emergency were extracted and classified based on various elements such as moxibustion method，types of diseases，specific disease names，acupoint selection，meridian tropism，acupoint classification，location，and moxibustion dosage.A data table was constructed to summarize the application laws of moxibustion for gynecological diseases by SUN Simiao.Results:Moxibustion was found to be widely used in gynecological diseases，with the main focus on treating abnormal uterine discharge(either excessive or insufficient) and infertility.Specific acupoints were predominantly used，with confluence points，five transport points，and alarm points being the most common choices.The main meridians involved were the thoroughfare and conception vessels，liver meridian，and kidney meridian.The lower abdomen was the primary location for moxibustion therapy.The most frequently used moxibustion dosage was 100 moxa cones，especially for alarm points and confluence points.When combined with acupuncture，the moxibustion dosage was often three moxa cones.Conclusion:SUN Simiao's moxibustion therapy for gynecological diseases in Important Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold for Emergency shows both differences and similarities compared with modern practices.The application laws described in his work have valuable implications for modern clinical practice and research，warranting further investigation.
