Ayurveda,a representative traditional medicine in India,has developed rapidly in recent years in terms of internationalization and standardization.Its intersection with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has increased,but there are few studies in this field in China.By analyzing relevant documents of the Indian government,the World Health Organization(WHO) and the International Organization for Standardization(ISO),this paper studied the global promotion and application of Ayurveda from the cooperation with WHO,recognition in other countries,promotion on the intergovernmental international platforms and international research,education and cooperation.In addition,the paper analyzed the standardization of Ayurveda in China from relevant organizations,and compared Ayurveda with TCM according to WHO and ISO,aiming to provide reference for the development of related fields of TCM.
