To evaluate the efficacy of different acupuncture methods for the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia by network Meta-analysis.Methods:The randomized controlled trials(RCTs) regarding different acupuncture methods for the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia were searched in PubMed，Web of science，China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)，Chinese Science Citation Database(CSPD)，Chinese Citation Database(CCD) and China Biology Medicine disc(CBM) from the inception of the databases to August 15，2021.Quality of the literature was assessed using the risk of bias tool in the Cochrane Handbook,and RevMan 5.4 and Stata 16 were used for data analysis.Results:A total of 31 RCTs were included，involving 13 intervention measures and 2 330 patients，1 120 in the observation group and 1 210 in the control group.The network Meta-analysis showed that the efficacy probability of different methods was ranked from high to the low as fire needle+collateral-bloodletting puncture and cupping(0.903)>floating needling+fire needle(0.799)>electroacupuncturecircumpuncture(0.72)>circumpuncture+collateral-bloodletting puncture and cupping(0.619)>floating needling+collateral-bloodletting puncture and cupping(0.602)>electroacupuncture+collateral-bloodletting puncture and cupping(0.591)>floating needling(0.518)>electroacupuncture+floating needling(0.484)>fire needle(0.477)>collateral-bloodletting puncture and cupping(0.467)>circumpuncture(0.206)>electroacupuncture(0.092)>conventional western medicine(0.023).Conclusion:Acupuncture is favorable in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia，and fire needle combined with collateral-bloodletting puncture and cupping has the optimal clinical efficacy.
