Post-stroke depression(PSD) refers to a series of emotional disorder syndromes characterized by depression and lack of interest except for the symptoms of stroke,and it is often accompanied by physical symptoms.Microbiota-gut-brain axis refers to the continuous two-way communication between the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract.The interaction in the microbiota-gut-brain axis may play a role in the pathogenesis of PSD.Therefore,combined with the research progress in China and abroad,this paper discussed the main role of microbiota-gut-brain axis in PSD,so as to provide new ideas for the treatment of PSD.
