Rheumatoid arthritis(RA) is a common autoimmune disease with high incidence and disability rate.At present，the pathogenesis of RA is not yet clear，posing a challenging focus for current research.The construction of a suitable animal model of RA is of great significance for the mechanism study of RA and the development of new targeted drugs.RA models can not only reflect the pathological features in Western medicine，but also reflect the changes of syndromes in traditional Chinese medicine.Researchers should choose models according to experimental needs.
