Building upon the theory of “Fuzheng Peiben”，Professor Lin Hongsheng has incorporated strengths from various approaches to cancer treatment.With more than 40 years of clinical diagnosis and treatment experience，he has condensed and proposed the theory of “Guben Qingyuan”，which has enriched academic system of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of malignant tumors.This paper expounds the origin and scientific connotation of the theory of “Guben Qingyuan”.Applying traditional Chinese medicine based on the “Guben Qingyuan” theory to various stages of modern medical tumor treatment greatly improves clinical efficacy and enriches the theory and method of tumor prevention and treatment of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
