To establish a new method using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) to analyze coumarins in Angelica pubescens and to clarify the dynamic changes in the content of coumarins in different parts of A.pubescens in different periods.Methods:GC-MS technology was used to determine the main components of coumarins such as cnidium, ligustilide, dihydroalsyl angelica, and dihydroalcein in the roots, stems, and leaves of A.pubescens in different periods, and analyze the dynamic changes in the content of coumarins in different parts of A.pubescens in different periods. Results:The number of compound types in different parts of A.pubescens varied in different periods. The number of compound types in the roots was the highest in October harvest period, while in the stems and leaves,it reached the maximum in August with 59,45,and 44 compound types in roots, stems, and leaves respectively. There were 38 common components, and differences were observed among the types of components. Conclusion:A new method for analyzing coumarins in A.pubescens using GC-MS was established for the first time. The accumulation pattern of coumarins was studied, and differences were found in the types and contents of chemical components in different parts of A.pubescens.This study provides a scientific basis for the quality control and efficient utilization of A.pubescens medicinal materials.
