The family ion channel-related receptors of transient receptor potentials(TRPs) in mammalian are widely distributed in the human body，which are involved in the regulation of basic metabolism and serve as potential therapeutic targets for the cardiovascular system，nervous system，and tumor diseases.This paper described the changes in temperature-sensing and physiological functions of different family ion channels of TRPs.By comparing the characteristics of the four property theory，the five taste theory(pungent)，and the difference in different family channels of TRPs sensitive to temperature，the relationship between the cold，cool，warm，and hot in the four property theory，pungent taste，and the physiological function of the family of TRPs was analyzed，and the possibility of combining the traditional Chinese medicine properties with modern biomedical research was put forward.
