Gout disease is a progressive metabolism disease, which is closely associated with hyperuricemia, urate crystal deposition in the joint or kidney, and other uric acid metabolism disorders.According to the pathological progression and clinical manifestations, gout disease can be divided into different stages, including hyperuricemia, urate crystal deposition, and gouty inflammation.ATP binding cassette subfamily G member 2(ABCG2) is a high-throughput uric acid transporter that is involved in mediating uric acid excretion in the intestine and kidney and is closely associated with gouty inflammation. This paper summarized the pathogenesis of ABCG2-associated gout disease,so as to provide a new point of view into the further research and treatment of gout disease in clinics.
