Application of TCM Characteristic Treatment in Postoperative Rehabilitation of Femoral Intertrochanteric Fractures Based on “Tendon Softening and Bone Strengthening”
To observe the application effect of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) characteristic treatment in postoperative rehabilitation of patients with femoral intertrochanteric fractures based on the theory of “tendon softening and bone strengthening”.Methods:A total of 84 inpatients with femoral intertrochanteric fractures who were admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine from June 2021 to June 2022 were reviewed.According to different treatment methods, the patients were divided into the control group(42 cases) and the observation group(42 cases). The control group was treated with Intertan or PFNA intramedullary nailing fixation, while the observation group was given three-stage TCM characteristic syndrome differentiation treatment on the basis of the control group. The therapeutic effects,TCM syndrome scores, hip function, bone strength, and complications in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and TCM syndrome scores were lower than those in the control group, with the difference statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the Harris hip score and bone mineral density of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence rates of complications such as infection, lower limb deep venous thrombosis, joint stiffness, and pressure sore between the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The TCM characteristic treatment based on the theory of “tendon softening and bone strengthening” is effective in postoperative rehabilitation of patients with femoral intertrochanteric fractures. It can improve the patients' hip function and bone mineral density, with good safety.
