Maimendong Decoction comes from ZHANG Ji's Synopsis of Golden Chamber.It can nourish the lungs and stomach，lower the adverse Qi，and treat clinical respiratory and digestive diseases by adding or subtracting drugs.In recent years，the clinical and experimental research literature of Maimendong Decoction has increased gradually，but there is no comprehensive review.Through the textual research of the ancient literature and the statistical analysis of the modern literature about the pharmacological action and clinical application of the Maimendong Decoction，the author aims to provide a reference for its further research and application.
