To investigate the clinical efficacy of digital low-resistance thought imprint psychotherapy(dTIP-I) in treating insomnia. Methods:Eighty patients with mild to moderate insomnia, admitted to the Department of Psychology of Guang'anmen Hospital,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from December 2021 to June 2023,were enrolled and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group according to a random number table, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received offline traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) sleep regulation techniques administered by trained researchers for approximately 60 min per session, twice a week, for a total of two weeks. The observation group underwent dTIP-I therapy, involving online self-regulation combined with a health education program, for about 30 min per session, four times a week, also over two weeks. The severity of insomnia was assessed using the Insomnia Severity Index(ISI) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) before and after treatment, and the efficacy rate was compared between the two groups. Results:The comparisons of ISI and PSQI scores before and after treatment,as well as during follow-up,showed significant intra-group differences(P<0.05).However,there were no significant inter-group differences in ISI and PSQI scores after treatment and follow-up(P>0.05).Conclusion:The dTIP-I effectively improves sleep quality and increases sleep satisfaction in patients with mild to moderate insomnia, demonstrating comparable efficacy to offline TCM sleep regulation techniques.
