With the continuous accumulation of extensive clinical data in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)，intelligent auxiliary diagnostic and treatment technologies in TCM have flourished.These technologies have now largely covered various aspects of clinical diagnosis and treatment，leading to the gradual emergence of a “digital+intelligence” integrated field in TCM clinical practice.However，the application of digital and intelligent research outcomes in TCM is not optimistic.Progress in areas such as the identification of manifestations in four examinations，syndrome differentiation，and TCM diagnostic analysis has been slow.Most advancements remain at the research stage and are less involved in actual clinical practice，with discussions often focused on theoretical research rather than practical application.To promote the clinical application of digital and intelligent diagnostic and treatment technology in TCM，and in line with the overall development trends of artificial intelligence(AI)，particularly with reference to the successful application of AI in fields like intelligent driving，this paper analyzes the driving factors for the practical deployment of AI technologies.By drawing analogies from applications，it emphasizes the importance of building a solid data foundation and establishing classification systems for digital and intelligent diagnostic and treatment technology application in TCM.These strategies aim to guide the effective implementation of TCM digital and intelligent diagnostic and treatment research outcomes before widespread application，offering valuable insights for the new-generation intelligent capabilities in TCM clinical diagnosis and treatment.
