To investigate the correlation between the congenital circuits and qi characteristics and the acquired disease development and onset time in patients with pulmonary nodules.Methods:A total of 1 213 patients diagnosed with pulmonary nodules through lung CT in the 2023 “Early Lung Cancer Screening Project” of Zhengzhou City(including 969 new diagnoses in the Year of Gui Mao) were selected.The distribution differences of birth dates in relation to different seasons，Heavenly Stems，Earthly Branches，annual circuits，celestial control qi，terrestrial effect qi，dominant qi，and guest qi among these patients were explored.Results:There were significant differences in the birth dates of pulmonary nodule patients regarding the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches，annual circuits，celestial control qi，terrestrial effect qi，dominant qi，and guest qi.Individuals born in the Heavenly Stem of Gui and Earthly Branch of Wei，during annual circuits of excessive fire，cold-dampness circuit and qi，and fire-heat dominant circuit and qi，were more likely to develop pulmonary nodules.Additionally，patients diagnosed with pulmonary nodules in the Year of Gui Mao exhibited a higher similarity between their congenital circuits and qi characteristics and the circuits and qi characteristics of the Year of Gui Mao.Conclusion:The onset of pulmonary nodules is related to the congenital circuits and qi characteristics of individuals，and the timing of onset may coincide with years that share similar congenital circuits and qi characteristics to those of their birth constitution.
