Abstract:Patients with Sjgren's syndrome have a high prevalence of xerophthalmia symptoms,which affects patients' quality of life.In addition,there is a lack of recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment through the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine.To provide evidence-based medical evidence and expert recommendations for Sjgren's syndrome-related xerophthalmia(SSX),the Consensus Project Group developed an expert consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of SSX through the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in accordance with clinical practice guidelines.The expert consensus provides recommendations on five aspects of SSX:diagnosis,syndrome recognition,assessment,treatment,and lifestyle.It aims to promote feasible diagnosis and treatment options for SSX that integrate traditional Chinese and Western medicine,standardize the clinical diagnosis and treatment practice of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in SSX,and improve the diagnosis and treatment level of SSX.
