As a core component of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) theory, the concept of qi and blood explains their crucial roles in sustaining human life activities. However, the abstract nature of certain concepts within this theory presents challenges for in-depth understanding and research. In recent years, advancements in multimodal magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) technology have provided new avenues to address this issue.Brain multimodal MRI not only offers rich structural, metabolic, and functional information but also features high temporal and spatial resolution along with multi-parameter analysis capabilities.By leveraging this technology for qualitative and quantitative analyses, pathological observations, and functional connectivity(FC) studies related to the correlation between qi and blood theory in TCM and brain changes,a concrete and visualized scientific basis for this theory can be established.
